Pastel helps local food businesses expand beyond their neighborhood to serve their entire region. Ted and Amanda's experience running Butter&, their own small cake shop in San Francisco, showed them how difficult it was to serve customers in the suburbs. They started Pastel to solve their own problems and banded together with some of San Francisco's most beloved local brands, who were facing the same challenges: Tartine, b. patisserie, Neighbor Bakehouse, Arsicault, Bi-Rite, Pizzeria Delfina, and more. Pastel puts humans first. Our terms are merchant-friendly so that we can be a sustainable, long-term growth channel for small businesses. We treat couriers right, running delivery with employees who are payed above-market wages and use company-owned vans.
