We're looking for experienced culinary professionals with high attention to detail for menu design and kitchen execution who will take us into our next chapter. Hours:
We're hiring for AM & PM shifts
Responsibilities:
Cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchens: kitchen equipment, dishwashing area drains
Washing, properly storing all sheet pans, pots, utensils, and other culinary equipment without damage to the equipment being cleaned
Keeping kitchen areas neatly organized, well-stocked, and free from pathway obstructions
Frequent trash removal (including kitchen bathrooms)
Assists with resort recycling efforts by ensuring all items are properly sorted in a neat and orderly manner
Sweeping, mopping, and drying of kitchen floors and kitchen bathroom floors
mopping in the kitchen should be done during the slowest hours of kitchen production (in the afternoons after 3:00pm)
appropriate use of wet floor signs
drains, and floor drains;
Providing filled sanitation buckets for culinary/culinary ops staff
Providing support to all managerial staff and fellow staff as needed and requested
Maintaining a sanitary work area, food-contact surfaces, and work tools in keeping with California Health Code and Company's standards
Unloading palleted delivered items that require the forklift (eg. boxes, ice)
Assisting receiver with organizing and replenishing food product and culinary operations supplies
Receiving and organizing paper product, ancillary product, operations supplies delivered to headquarters
Organizing and replenishing non-food kitchen supplies (ie. labeling tape, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, parchment, gloves, hand washing soap, hand sanitizer, etc)
Active participation in the chain of communication to ensure smooth continuity of kitchen production
Preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping and peeling food
Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
Properly label and organize food stored inside our walk-in refrigerators
Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish are plated into containers and jars
Portion food with a passion to create beautiful finished products
Ensure the workstation is clean at all times
Follow appropriate personal hygiene procedures when handling food
Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures
Ensure the quality of the food items meet Methodology specifications
Escalate food issues to your supervisor/sous chef
Report maintenance issues immediately to appropriate personnel
Picking food orders in a cold environment for an extended period of time
Packing food orders as part of an assembly line
Follow guidelines to properly stack orders onto pallets to be shipped out
Ensure all orders are picked and packed accurately and with care
Assists with recycling efforts by ensuring waste are sorted into correct bins
Assists with handling packaging material such as ice, liners, bundles of boxes
Other side tasks as needed by other teams as necessary
Learn our food product code system to manage your tasks for your role
Follow all safety procedures and adhere to all company policies and procedures
Compliance with Methodology time-keeping procedures
Compliance with Methodology rules, regulations, and standards of conduct
Skills & Qualities:
6+ months of dishwashing experience
Valid Food Handler’s Certificate
Able to lift at least 50 pounds
Able to frequently bend at the wrists, elbows, neck, waist, and knees while carrying weight
Able to stand for periods of time up to 5 hours
Able to effectively communicate with colleagues and managers
Ability to be a team player, always putting the mission first
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter, motivator, mission-driven
Strong attention to detail
